Manchester has some amazing places to shop with plenty of stores and locations to choose from. Here’s a short list of the best places to shop:
The Trafford Centre
My personal favourite location to shop in Greater Manchester with stores for everyone. You could easily spend the majority of a day here, if the bank account allows it. There’s also plenty of food options from simple snacks to restaurants all on the deck of a moc-up cruise liner. Now more than ever it’s easy to get to from the city centre with the 250 or 250X Stagecoach bus services and the brand-new Trafford Park Metrolink line. If your new to Manchester this is a must visit!

The Arndale Centre
The second biggest shopping location right in the heart of the city centre again this has all the major stores you’ll need. To be honest its near impossible to go shopping in central Manchester and not visit the Arndale and if you have mastered its deceptively simple layout you are a straight up mastermind. The best part however has to be footbridge over into the Selfridges building. It sounds boring but trust me it’s a quirky little spot.

New Cathedral Street
Think of London Oxford Street but miniature. Lined on both sides with everything with a designer label if you have expensive tastes this is the go-to for you. Here you can find the likes of Louis Vuitton, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Lacoste and Hugo Boss plus others. Running parallel to the Arndale Centre and 5-minute walking distance from Victoria Station it’s in a very easy to reach, central location.

The Northern Quarter
Unlike all of the above this is not restricted to one location or street but rather an entire area of central Manchester. Located about 5-minutes from Piccadilly Gardens its collection of streets plays host to a collection of independent galleries, coffee shops, clothing stores plus many many more. If you are looking for alternative fashion check out its many thrift stores and wholesalers for some amazing finds!

Of course these are just a few examples across Greater Manchester but in my eye these are most popular for anyone who doesn't know the city that well. So next time you get the chance why not check out one of these locations with some friends and do some damage to the old bank account!
